So these potions we got. What-all do they do an how do ya use ‘em? Askin for future reference.
[He'd known there were healers on staff, and he’d been aware, vaguely, that people with “magic” sometimes said they could cure ills with said talent, but he hadn’t really put much stock in that. Still, it would be good to know, in case he ever ran into something he couldn’t fix with a hypo or the barbaric needle and thread.]
When we're fully stocked, as we are getting back to with Nate back in the city, I use them for those comfortable with magic and who have medium to severe injuries or where it's getting in their way.
For a while I was having to ration them a bit since the supply was dwindling.
Noted. Would they help with broken bones or somethin that’d need surgery otherwise? An how all-encompassin are they? Like if ya had multiple injuries, would they heal everythin, or just touch a portion?
[He’s thinking of specific people who get into situations regularly.]
They most certainly can heal bones. Especially clean breaks.
Obviously it wouldn't do anything for someone say with a destroyed limb, or missing one.
They are fairly powerful, and how much is ingested can work more for them. Obviously there are limits. I have a secondary method for those that are near death but it's fairly dangerous for their life as it could turn them and I avoid that unless absolutely need. It's not the potions though.
Is everything okay? Do you have a patient currently?
So they’re nice an specific then? If I gave someone a bone potion it wouldn’t close an open wound or just suddenly heal every possible injury?
No, no one specific. I just know a lotta people who’re idiots an I got a feelin they’re gonna get hurt worse’n I can easily fix with a hypo. An I really don’t understand how the potions work.
Not quite. They are general potions. So if they say fell and broke bones and had cuts. If you had a full potion it would heal it all. If you gave half one, it would start with the worst injuries.
I get that. I was one of those idiots before I could heal myself.
Honestly, I'm not sure how they work as much as I trust Nate and I know they do. And some are more comfortable with magic than practical medicine.
Gotcha. That’s real helpful. An I won’t use any without checking the stock first. I ain’t all that comfy with magic myself, but I can learn for my patients. Thanks Kyle.
They're in the main medicine cabinet, on the upper left shelf. I try and keep all the stock there so it's easy to see how much there is. It's nice to have when we can.
Hey, understandable. I knew aliens before this place but magic was all knew to me. Any time I can help.
Doesn't seem to hurt them, and it takes a few seconds to heal externally. You can barely see it unless it's a large wound. Internally seems less than a minute.
Backdated to some time in the past because I kept forgetting |D

What happens when someone takes one? I mean, does it hurt? Is it done in a blink? Sorry, I really got no clue about this stuff.
